It’s been a wild week in the Huon!

Wind, rain — and even snow down to 600 metres today ❄️

But don’t worry… 🌞 summer isn’t far away — and neither is planting season!
Get your garden ready this Saturday, 18 October, when Valley Fresh Farm pops up at Reba Sear Café Huonville from 8am with our $5 organically grown seedlings.

They’re tough, healthy, and raised right here for southern Tasmanian conditions — ready to thrive.

All proceeds support the Huonville Primary School Association 💚

🌱 This year, your school fundraiser can be delicious and healthy with Grow Good Things 🌿

🍫 And unlike a chocolate bar, these tomatoes will give you months of tasty eating!

One of our tomato seedlings this year is the Tasmanian Chocolate - a rich, juicy beefsteak tomato with a gorgeous black-purple blush, grown on a compact bush perfect for pots and small veggie patches. 🍅💜

They may not melt in your hand like the old chocolate drives, but they will make your sandwiches and salads unforgettable!

GROW GOOD THINGS — AT YOUR SCHOOL!

We’re launching our spring Seedling Fundraiser program and are looking for schools across Greater Hobart and the Huon Valley who’d like to get involved.
It’s a simple, healthy and environmentally friendly way to raise funds, and a great way to get growing together 🌿

We grow premium veggie seedlings, time them perfectly for spring planting, and deliver them straight to schools. Your P&F group keeps the profit from each plant sold.

👉 Are you a parent or carer with kids in a local school?

We’re after someone to join our small farm team to further expand and develop markets for our seasonal veggie seedling range

If you have skills and experience in sales/ marketing/ communication, combined with a knowledge and passion for veggie growing, then we’d love to hear from you!

The role is initially offered until the end of October as a casual or contract position up to 14 hours per week
