Day 6, 21 hours of fasting.
Getting easier everyday, although I was freaking starving tonight! Like we forget what it is like to feel hunger and our gut empty. Once I get my head in the game and decide, I just love how fasting makes me feel, bit like the feeling a runner gets. I’m not built for running but fasting yes 🤣
First real time I have had in the garden for a while this morning. Built the last bed at the bottom of the garden, planted a Sultana grape, sweet potato patch and yet to plant out the rockmelon that I have grown from seed, these will be grown vertically up the fence, along with loofa and some gourds…. cause space is of a premium!
Planted out a dwarf pear tree too.
My tomatoes and pumpkins gone mad, strung them up too!
Most of the 20c seedlings are powering out, lost about 6 seedlings to the caterpillars… already eating some of the baby lettuce leaves. We are eating Lebanese cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, corn, beans, leeks, spring onions, celery, eggplant, loads of herbs, chard, spinach and spuds.
Can you spot the dwarf almond tree in the celery patch? I thought I had killed it but alas gave it a good cut back and now she’s powering out!
We have 3 tiny apples, so blinking exciting.
Seeds popping everyday that I have no ideas what they are till they grow, it’s so much fun.
I managed to get some NZ yams growing, so I planted them out today too. Still haven’t worked out where to put the asparagus, cause basically can’t dig the dirt or use the space for anything else, they are busting out of their pots, hopefully I will figure it out soon!
The guava has doubled in size and is happily residing with the 3 sisters plot, corn, beans & pumpkin. Last but not least I got a piece of galangal to shoot so I’ve planted her out too!
Anyways he is some pics of how she is all growing 🩷🍐🌼
