Thankyou so much to everyone for coming along to the Broomehill Produce Swap last Saturday. It was a roaring success! I really thought maybe not a lot of swappers would turnout as it was forecast cold and feedback beforehand was light. BUT it was the best turnout ever! Over 30 happy people came along and wow what a great variety of items to swap.
We had pumpkin scones, carrot cake, Anzac bikkies, strawberry plants celery and silver beet seedlings, pomegranate, kale, broccoli seedlings, native seedlings, tomatoes, homemade skincare products, eggs and cartons, relish, spinach, tomatillos, manures, capsicum, pears, apples, lactobacillus fertiliser ( + recipe) and more that I just can’t think of.
Everyone enjoyed the pumpkin soup on offer and sourdough. It was just so nice to have people coming together and sharing, some meeting for the first time. It’s not a long period 1/2 to 1 hour, but it’s enough.
Thanks again to Broomehill Op Shop for letting us set up outside. We are so lucky in this little community to have the Op Shop so please support it.
Our next Swap won’t be until the 5th September. It is quieter over winter seasonally and of course in July August a lot of people go away. If anyone would like a winter swap, get in touch so I know what the level of interest is.
