Mid-Autumn tonight 🌕
If you’re not familiar — it‘s the night the moon is at its fullest for the year. In Chinese culture the full moon means reunion. Families gather, eat mooncakes, and look up together. It’s been celebrated for over a thousand years, and the idea hasn‘t changed much: a round moon, a round table, everyone home.
Which is exactly why it hits a bit differently when you’re not.❤️
Been on the Gold Coast long enough that missing home is just part of the routine now. Not the mooncakes really — more the table, the noise, who‘s doing the dishes after. Can’t bring that across an ocean. At least the moon‘s the same one.
Happy Mid-Autumn everyone. Wherever you are tonight, go look up. 🌕
中秋节,月亮最圆的一天,圆月代表团圆。在这边待久了,想家也成了习惯。好在月亮是同一个。中秋快乐,今晚记得抬头看一眼。
