Dog on bed or not?
Me not, well this morning absolutely shattered from walking, what I thought was 13kms, turned out to be 21 kms yesterday.
So when I woke to rain and thunder this morning at my house sit at Burleigh, I was very happy to lie in bed can I say.
Gypsy was scared of the thunder so when she jumped on my bed, I didn’t push her off like I normally do.
Can I say, turning my alarm off with all this rain and rolling over to sleep some more was bliss.
It’s been a fun week of house sitting, where most mornings I was up at 5.30 am to catch the sunrise on the beach.
I have fallen in love with walking around Burleigh Heads National park.
I was planning to do it, this morning. Gotta get my 10 000 steps in a day…
I have another week and a bit for this challenge, to walk 10k steps, everyday.
Like yesterday I walked nearly 33 000 steps, so normally I wouldn’t push to do many today. But this challenge is about being consistent in getting steps done daily.
So I might be enjoying a cup of tea in bed, and the dog has jumped on the bed again.
Between writing this caption I hear a hello downstairs, I quickly put some shorts on and it’s the house owners handyman.
He has offered to look after the animals tonight, if I want to head home.
So I’m taking him up on that offer, while Gypsy is tapping me on the arm.
I just feed her, tried to get her to go outside to p*e so I think she just wants pats.
She’s adorable and I miss having a dog around.
We had my late fathers dog with chickens running around the backyard and it worked well.
But maybe if we got a puppy and trained it with the chickens… they might be all happy together I say…
Omg but all the p**p.. that would drive me nuts.
Ok back to not needing a dog but maybe I could dog sit every now and then to get my fix.
Food for thought, like having nieces without having to have kids 🤣
Happy Monday, I will have to figure out how to do my steps today or go home and walk on the treadmill.
1st world problems hey… but I will tell you I feel better for doing steps daily than doing lots of steps and a few days later doing some more.
